John Abdo - 2007 NFHOF Inductee
John is an international authority on life motivation, health, fitness, nutrition and athletic conditioning. As a former Olympic coach, John trained numerous Olympic athletes for both Winter and Summer Olympic Games spanning from 1976 to 1988.

Douglas Brooks – 2007 NFHOF Inductee
Acknowledged as one of the country's premier personal trainers by numerous publications, Douglas Brooks is truly the "Trainer's Trainer." As an author, lecturer, trainer and video personality, his knowledge of fitness is recognized by professionals and the public worldwide.
Douglas, who holds a Master's Degree in exercise physiology, is the author of five best selling books. He has also authored numerous educational manuals. He frequently conducts lectures and workshops on exercise physiology, kinesiology, strength training, and personal training throughout the United States and internationally. Douglas is the consulting exercise physiologist for product research and development for several fitness companies.
A personal trainer for 25 years and counting, Douglas is no stranger to video and TV production. He has been the featured talent in over 20 videos. Douglas regularly appears on cable television as a fitness expert, and the Health Club Cable Network. Douglas hosts Snowcreek Fit Tips on local cable television. His motivational theme, "Commit, To Get Fit!"-- runs daily.
Lou Ferrigno - 2007 NFHOF Inductee
“The Incredible Hulk”

Lou Ferrigno is an American actor, motivational speaker, fitness trainer and professional bodybuilder. As a bodybuilder, Lou won an IFBB Mr. America title and two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles, and appeared in the bodybuilding documentary, Pumping Iron.
As an actor, he is best known for portraying the title role in the CBS television series, The Incredible Hulk. Lou was born in Brooklyn, New York. Soon after he was born, Lou suffered a series of ear infections and lost 75% of his hearing (though his condition was not diagnosed until he was three years old). Undeterred by what some may have perceived as a disadvantage, Lou threw himself into athletics (predominantly weightlifting and bodybuilding). Lou was only 21 when he won his first Mr. Universe title, a Guinness Book world record that stands to this day.
In February 2006, Lou was sworn in as a Los Angeles County, California reserve sheriff deputy and in November 2010, Lou was sworn in as a member of a Maricopa County, Arizona volunteer sheriff posse in order to help control illegal immigration in the Phoenix Valley area. Most recently, he and his family started Ferrigno FIT – a community focused on positive habits, lifestyles, and ideas.
Gilad Janklowicz – 2007 NFHOF Inductee
Gilad is one of the world’s most popular fitness personalities. As a pioneer in the fitness industry, he has helped millions to stay fit with his popular TV programs ‘Bodies in Motion’, ‘Basic Training the Workout’ and ‘Total Body Sculpt with Gilad. Filmed on location in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands these aerobic and toning workout shows first aired on ESPN in 1983 and are currently the longest running fitness show in the US. The show airs in over 80 countries and was chosen as the #1 TV fitness program in the world by Self Magazine. In a viewer’s poll, conducted by FitTV, Gilad won the title of ‘Fitness Instructor of the Year’ for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
‘Total Body Sculpt with Gilad’ is Gilad’s newest fitness show that began airing on Fit TV in January of 2005. It was created for FitTV to complement the existing ‘Bodies in Motion’ show and give the viewers a dynamic new concept in fitness that focuses on sculpting exercises and strength training. Forty shows have been taped to date. Gilad also created an exercise program for ESPN entitled, ‘Basic Training the Workout’, a boot camp style training program hosted by his sister, Ada. The program debuted in 1988 and aired for 5 years.
To date, Gilad has generated over 22 top-rated instructional videos, which received accolades and endorsements from Billboard Magazine to Consumer Reports and in October of 2009, Gilad released his ‘Kids In Motion’ 3 DVD pack to encourage children to exercise and adopt healthy fitness habits.
Most of Gilad’s life has been devoted to fitness since his high school days where he excelled in track and field. He eventually became a record holding decathlon athlete in Israel and a fitness officer in the military. Later, as an Olympic hopeful in 1980, he trained and competed alongside some of the best athletes in the world. Because of his superior fitness conditioning, Gilad is able to compete in (and win) many master-level athletic competitions.

Keli Roberts - 2007 NFHOF Inductee

Keli Roberts is a world renowned fitness educator and trainer. As a continuing education provider, Keli conducts seminars and workshops worldwide. She’s recognized as a fitness authority that’s transformed fitness education with groundbreaking innovations characterized by her expert skill and instruction.
Keli is originally from Australia, but moved to the United States in 1989 to pursue her passion: Fitness! She quickly became one of the most in demand private trainers in Los Angeles and garnered a huge celebrity clientele that included Cher, Kirstie Alley, Jennifer Grey, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Russell Crow and Faye Dunaway, to name a few. Her step classes also attracted many A-list names such as Julia Roberts, Annette Bening and Jennifer Beals.
In 1991, Keli choreographed and appeared in the award winning video, Cher Fitness, A New Attitude, which brought her worldwide recognition as a fitness expert. Subsequently, Keli has designed, choreographed and starred in over 40 video.
Keli is also a successful author. Her first book, Fitness Hollywood, which was published in 1994 by Summit, received glowing reviews as a comprehensive guide to training and nutrition and is now in its fifth printing. Thomas Sattler, EdD - 2007 NFHOF Inductee
Dr. Thomas Sattler, Director of Education and Program Development of the SeniorFITness™ Division of Alliance Rehab in Oak Brook, has helped countless seniors improve their quality of life by applying exercise guidelines for healthy aging. His philosophy and proactive approach to life has been significantly influenced by his 40 years as a university educator, and his time spent coordinating the training and supervision of the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team and Chicago Cubs baseball team. Dr. Sattler retired from teaching in 2005 and began his work in the area of senior wellness, with an emphasis on the components that make up a healthy lifestyle for older adults.
At Alliance Rehab, Dr. Sattler chairs the program’s Best Practices Standards, facilitates the Senior FITness Exercises Specialist Certification, leads the Wellness Consulting Services and serves as the speaker for motivational presentations.
He has been on the review board of the American College of Sports Medicine and makes numerous films and presentations on issues relating to health & fitness. His research interests include management and marketing of fitness programs and programs which are designed for the aged.
Linda Shelton – 2007 NFHOF Inductee
Linda is an internationally-recognized fitness and wellness consultant, trainer, speaker and health writer with over 40 years experience. She is currently the fitness director for VIVmag, a digital women's lifestyle magazine, and was the fitness director for all Weider/AMI women's lifestyle publications including Shape for 23 years. As the author of eight books, she is also the producer, director and choreographer of over 350 DVDs. Linda is the co-developer of Zumba® toning and an executive advisory board member and the communications director for BeamFit™.
Linda is also the Director of Education and Content at WELLBEATS and one of the founding members of the Aerobic and Fitness Association, (AFFA) and co-author of the Exercise Standards and Guidelines and Primary Certification examination used today to certify thousands of fitness professionals worldwide.
She has authored eight wellness books, and co-produced four award-winning television fitness shows. Linda’s extensive experience in film and fitness give her a lens for virtual group fitness unique to the industry.
Jacki Sorensen – 2007 NFHOF Inductee
Jacki (born Jacqueline Faye Mills; December 10, 1942) is the originator of aerobic dancing, popularly known as aerobics. Inspired by Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper's 1968 book on aerobic exercise, she created for women an aerobic dance routine to music in 1969 in Puerto Rico, teaching U.S. Air Force wives. She expanded this concept into a teaching method and studio franchise, Aerobic Dancing Inc, that rose through the 1970s to 1,500 locations and 4,000 instructors in 1981, teaching 170,000 students.
Called the "Mother of Aerobic Dancing," Jacki served on the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports for six years in the 1970s, and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by that body in 2012. In 1979, Sorensen published Aerobic Dancing, promoting it on radio and TV with a book tour through the U.S. Many new students were attracted through classes held in YMCA nonprofits. In 1980, she put out an exercise record for adults on vinyl LP. In 1981, ADI reached its peak, counting 1,500 locations, 70 clinicians (supervisor instructors), and 4,000 certified instructors.
Betty Weider - 2007 NFHOF Inductee
(Born: August 2, 1935 - Hometown: Woodland Hills, California)
Betty is a recognized leader in the women's health and fitness field. She was a feature editor and monthly columnist for Muscle & Fitness and the co-publisher of Shape Magazine. In 1981, Betty and husband Joe wrote the book “The Weider Book of Bodybuilding. This was followed in 1984 by “The Weider Body Book and “Better and Better,” a workout and nutrition guide for women. In addition, Betty is a member of the Olympic Committee on Physical Fitness.
